Community
Every member of the United States Military understands
that they are part of something larger than themselves.
Leave No Veteran Behind believes that this ethos of service is a critical and final
component for a Veteran’s successful integration into society. We understand that
Veterans do not come home to programs; they come home to communities. With this
understanding, engaging the community is integrated into our transitional jobs
program and Veterans that are helped through other services are required to perform
community service.
Leave No Veteran Behind has partnered with multiple agencies to provide our
Veterans as strategic support. While the focus of our organization is providing
Veterans education and employment opportunities, the goal is to make sure that our Veterans are in a position to have a positive impact on society. Currently, many of the transitional jobs that are provided by our organization are focused on improving the outcomes of our most vulnerable youth. We also work with nonprofit partners to
provide other community building opportunities for our Veterans as well.

Safety Services
Currently, Leave No Veteran Behind has multiple contracts providing safety related services in the Chicagoland area. Part of our training regimen includes 20 hours of unarmed security training to Veterans selected in our transitional employment program. This training allows Veterans to receive their Permanent Employment Registration Card (PERC). This card allows the Veteran to work in security related fields anywhere in the state of Illinois.
This training provides our Veteran clients the ability to find flexible employment while they search for long-term employment. Safety services is a natural fit for the skills
that Veterans learned in the military. The goal of this training, however, is to primarily provide an unemployed Veteran an opportunity for quick employment that will help stabilize their financial situation or to provided added income while they receive an education in their field of interest. If a Veteran is interested in safety/security as a
career, Leave No Veteran Behind has established relationships with firms that will provide training and long-term employment opportunities as well.
